Our Story
Tampa International Forest Products, LLC, was formed in 1976 in Tampa, Florida. Through the efforts of our dedicated employees, we have grown to a company that last year shipped over 1,400 carloads and 18,000 truckloads of building products. Our 1,200 customers depend on us to provide service on every order. Our suppliers depend on us to distribute their full range of products to our customer base.
We are involved in both short-term and long-term planning for customers and suppliers. Our job is to use our innovation and skills to match the needs of suppliers and customers in a manner that creates a profitable long-term business relationship for all.
We owe our growth and success to our customer and supplier loyalty. We will continue to support manufacturers who produce product using sustainable forest management.

” Tampa International Forest Products opened its doors in 1976. With strong leadership over the years, our current 5-year plan aims to increase our traders from 31 to 50 by 2028. At TIFP, we prioritize values like honesty, integrity, and hard work, fostering a vibrant and enjoyable work environment. Our success is attributed to the enduring relationships we have cultivated with our team and trading partners. Our skilled traders and operations team are dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of our customers and suppliers. I started at TIFP as a trader trainee in 1995 and, after 29 years on the trading floor, I am honored to serve as President of Tampa International. Over the years, I have witnessed our resilience in fluctuating markets, learning and evolving together through various market conditions. I made it a point to be the same partner in both good times and bad. Regardless of the challenges we face, we always find a way to deliver results and share laughter with our longstanding indurstry friends.”
